Leaf Delays and Ridgeacres/Yosemite Road Project

Village Update: Leaf Pickup & Road Work

With leaves dropping later than usual and recent heavy rain, leaf pickup has gotten off to a slower start this season. Our equipment and shorter dumping times should help the process move more quickly, and a street-by-street pickup schedule will be published soon.

Work on Rosedale has also been completed by GCWW, including the concrete repair where a sinkhole had formed near a leaking fire hydrant.

Regarding the Ridgeacres paving project, the timeline fell behind, and contractors reached a point where the final paving needed to be finished before Thanksgiving due to the expected freeze. Waiting would have pushed the remaining work into spring and left the road torn up for months. We know the posted signs didn’t reflect how things ultimately unfolded, and we understand the frustration this caused. We apologize for the disruption.

A few notes:

  • Parking will be allowed on Thanksgiving and Friday.

  • Rumpke has been coordinated with to keep trash pickup on schedule.

Thank you to all residents and patrons for your patience and understanding as we work through leaf pickup and recent road projects.

As a reminder, Village offices are closed on Thanksgiving and Friday.
