OVERVIEW

The Village Administration is responsible for “pulling it all together.” Setting the priorities and strategies of the Village, managing to the Village’s mission statement, ensuring the direction of the Mayor, Council, and compliance standards are being met while ensuring Village operations are successfully implemented. These areas are under the supervision of the Village Administrator. Priorities include maintaining our financial sustainability, improving the physical infrastructure of Village roads and assets, and ensuring comprehensive safety programs are deployed through the community.

VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR

Our Village Administrator is Ron Hirth, a former Golf Manor mayor and member of Council. Mr. Hirth has lived in the Village since 2003 and has served over 40 years in the private business sector as well as on several non-profit boards in the Greater Cincinnati area.

The Village Administrator reports to the Mayor and manages the daily business of the Village while implementing policy and direction from the Mayor and Council. As the chief administrative executive of the Village, duties and responsibilities include directly supervising the management, professional, and clerical staff including the police chief, fiscal officer, administrative staff, building, maintenance, and legal departments. The Administrator also plans, directs, manages and reviews all activities and operations of the Village while coordinating services and activities among key Village departments including police, fire, maintenance, building, administration and contracted outside service providers.

OFFICE HOURS

The administration office is open for business from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, or by appointment. Staff is available during the lunch hour for business needs.

Village offices are closed for the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Martin Luther King Day (Observed)
  • President’s Day (Observed)
  • Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)
  • Independence Day July 4th
  • Labor Day (First Monday in September)
  • Veteran’s Day (November 11)
  • Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November)
  • Friday after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day (December 25th)

Police & Fire services will remain open on these days.

If the holiday falls on a Saturday, the office will be closed on the preceding Friday; if it falls on Sunday the office will be closed on the following Monday.
