Stover Ave. to Get Reconstruction & Renovation in 2019
GOLF MANOR (9/23/2018) – Mayor Greg Schwartzberg and Village Administrator Ron Hirth have worked with Village Council to identify Stover Ave. as the next major street project to be undertaken by the Village in 2019. The project will start sometime in the mid- to late-Summer/early-Fall timeframe.
The scope of the project currently includes total replacement of the curb from Losantiville Ave. to the end of the Village owned street just past Rosedale Ave. Losantiville to Bremont will include a new asphalt surface while Bremont to Rosedale will see the entire street infrastructure removed to the base with a new concrete underlayment being installed.
Traffic control measures that have proven successful on other streets to control excessive speed will be incorporated into the project. Measures will also be undertaken in the Losantiville to Bremont block to improve available parking.
Village administration will keep residents informed of any key dates for construction as information becomes available closer to the project start. Bids will go out to contractors as soon as State and county funding available has been secured.
The Village will be partnering with JMA Consultants, Inc., from the West side. JMA is a local engineering company with many years of experience in helping municipalities find grant funding and financial solutions to complete major street projects of this size. The most recent Ridgewood/Columbia Township road project was engineered by JMA.
Watch this space for updates as we work toward this significant project for 2019. A similar project is planned to be undertaken in 2020 focused on the Vera Ave. corridor including Vera, short Elbrook (Losantiville to Amberley) and the west Losantiville/Vera service drive areas.
