Report On Mills Fence Fire On June 15, 2024

GOLF MANOR (6/27/2024) – Chief Meador of the Deer Park-Silverton Joint Fire Department, our fire and EMS services provider, compiled an overview regarding a fire incident that took place at Mills Fence, 6315 Wiehe Road, on Saturday, June15, 2024. The overview also contains an analysis of call center activity in Hamilton County at the time of the incident.

There were a few posts on social media expressing concern regarding dropped 911 calls, so Director Knapp of Hamilton County Communications provided information to clarify the situation. It should also be noted that Cincinnati Assistant Fire Chief Matt Flagler reported that Cincinnati received more than 50 calls to its 911 center during the initial reports of smoke in the area.
