Tax Levy Renewals on the ballot: November 3.

GOLF MANOR (September 22, 2026) –  As a resident, it may not always be clear what a Village levy supports or how those tax dollars are used. I would like to provide some additional information to help clarify what these levies mean for Golf Manor residents.

The Village’s General Fund is the primary source of funding for day-to-day Village operations. Approximately 50% of General Fund expenditures support the Police Department. This funding helps maintain the Village’s current level of service patrolling Village streets. It also pays for the equipment, supplies, vehicles, and protective gear officers need to perform their duties safely.

Approximately 10% of the General Fund helps subsidize the Village’s contract for fire and EMS services with the Deer Park-Silverton Joint Fire District. This represents the portion of the contract that is not currently covered by the Village’s Fire Levy.

The remainder of the General Fund supports other Village operations and services, including brush and leaf collection, snow removal, street sweeping, park maintenance, and the upkeep of Village infrastructure and municipal assets such as the Municipal Building.

For residents who would like to better understand the property-tax impact of levies appearing on the November 3 ballot, the Hamilton County Auditor recently made personalized levy cost estimates available by parcel.

The Hamilton County Board of Elections also maintains a list of certified questions and issues for the November 3 General Election.

To view the estimated cost for your own property, visit the Hamilton County Auditor’s website and use the Property Search feature to locate your parcel. Once you are on your parcel’s page, select “Levy Information” under the “View” section. The page provides information applicable to your property, including the type of levy, millage rate, and estimated cost.

Please note that income or earnings tax issues are not included in the Auditor’s property-tax levy estimates.

I hope this information provides some helpful context about how Village levy revenues are used and how residents can determine the estimated property-tax impact for their own property.

Please feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions about Village finances or how Village funds are allocated.

Sincerely,

Eric Pridonoff

Village Fiscal Officer
