Stover Road Project Update – Water Main Activation Over the Weekend

UPDATE: (6/29/2020) – We are heading into the final phase of the Stover Ave. road project with final construction starting on Monday, July, 6, 2020. Grinding of the blacktop surface between Losantiville and Bremont will begin along with removing the road substrate between Bremonet and Rosedale. It will all be finished with a new blacktop road surface and completion of some details along the curb. The project is expected to be complete by the end of July.

GOLF MANOR (3/18/2020) – Installation of a new water main and related work on Stover is now at a critical point where the new water main needs to be activated.

The Greater Cincinnati Water Works has scheduled activation of the new water main on Stover from Bremont to Rosedale overnight this weekend on Sunday, March 22 from 10 PM to 6 AM as well as on Monday, March 23 from 10 PM to 6 AM.

The reason for overnight hours is directly due to the COVID -19 event. GCWW has directed that water will not be shut off during the day due to more people being at home, particularly school children, impairing the ability to wash hands and perform other sanitary needs.

The contractor has advised that any major digging has been performed ahead of time and noise will be kept to a minimum, however there may be trucks beeping and ground plates being moved.

Today, Friday 3/20, the contractor will be posting notices at each house as well as GCWW alerting residents to a pending water outage by door hanger, also today.
