Application to Serve on Hamilton County Commission on Women & Girls Now Open
HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (6/11/2025) – The application to serve on the Hamilton County Commission on Women & Girls is now open: APPLICATION LINK
We need Golf Manor represented on it! We will be accepting applications through Monday, June 30th.
We are once again looking for interested candidates to apply to serve as a volunteer member of this Commission for the 2025-2026 term, beginning in August and ending in May of 2026. Appointments will include 10 women and 10 high school girls (ages 15-18) to serve at this time. Specifically, we need your help in recruiting/referring high school girls to apply!
The commitment includes Commission members meeting monthly on Saturday mornings from 9:30am – 12pm, to research and learn about the current and most pressing needs and gaps of service for women, girls, and other marginalized communities in Hamilton County, while also identifying opportunities for meaningful change through community collaboration and policy-driven solutions.
Their term will conclude with a formal presentation of their recommendations on ways that Hamilton County and other local stakeholders can work together to address those needs, to the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners.
This opportunity to serve offers women and girls a chance to learn more about their community and drive real and impactful policy change. Through this experience, they will practice listening, learning from one another, collaborating with community partners, developing their leadership skills, and providing & receiving mentorship.
