Qualify to Participate in Lead Paint Abatement Program

GOLF MANOR (6/18/2019) – Homes built before 1978 could have lead paint that could cause serious health problems for you or your family members.

The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) has worked closely with the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) to secure funding for lead paint abatement. The State is seeking to identify willing and qualified participants who want to make their homes and properties lead-safe.

Funding is available in Hamilton County and targets children under nineteen (19) years of age and pregnant women who reside in or regularly visit pre-1978 housing and are Medicaid eligible. Owner occupants will receive all program services free of charge. Rental property owners must contribute 50% towards the cost of the lead abatement services.

If you are interested in or know of another Ohio resident in getting more information about qualifying to participate in this program, contact ODH at (877) 532-3723.
