Ridgeacres/Yosemite Residents:
If you haven’t already heard the good news, contracts have been approved by Council, signed by the Administration and the construction project to renovate Ridgeacres Avenue & Yosemite Drive is moving ahead full speed.
The project is funded by the Village of Golf Manor with grant funding from the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) and the State of Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC).
The scope of the project will include installing new water lines and fire hydrants on Yosemite and replacement of curbs along the entire length of both roads in the Golf Manor jurisdiction. The entire street will be resurfaced with new asphalt. Finally, speed control devices (humps) will be installed at the conclusion of the project. Curbs will be replaced with box curbs, as we are installing throughout the Village which are better for controlling storm water.
We anticipate that construction will begin sometime around the end of July/mid-August with the concrete and catch basins. Installation of new water lines then milling and leveling of the asphalt will begin in early September. Removal of curbs and driveway aprons as well as sections of sidewalk to be replaced will also begin about that time. The completion of the project is anticipated to occur mid-October.
We apologize in advance for the frustration that goes along with a major residential street project like this. You will likely experience some delays along with limited access to your driveway. The contractor, Adleta, Inc., who specializes in these types of projects, will directly notify you of any disruptions in traffic or parking as the various phases of the project are carried out. Every effort will be made to ensure you have access to your driveway as the project proceeds. Adleta has partnered with Golf Manor on several projects like this before and is very responsive to resident needs.
