Sewer Back Up Assistance After A Storm
The sewer and drainage system in the Village is owned and maintained by the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) of Greater Cincinnati. Sewer and water backups that occur in basements of properties located in the Village are the responsibility of MSD to resolve as the Village does not own, service, or repair this system.
Residents who experience flooding in their homes from a basement sewer backup during rain storms must report their issue directly to MSD for assistance. Contact MSD online here MSDGC or by phone at 513-352-4900. Details about the sewer backup response program is listed here.
MSD representatives monitor online sewer backup reports from 7 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. every day, 7 days a week. If you submit an online sewer backup report after 8:30 PM, MSD will not receive your request until 7 AM the next day. If you would rather not wait until morning, you can receive service for a sewer backup during overnight hours by calling MSD at 513-352-4900 to speak with an MSD representative.
