Continued Village Operations During Governor’s Reopening of the Ohio Economy

GOLF MANOR (4/29/2020) – From Ron Hirth, Village Administrator

I hope this finds you and your families well and peaceful during the shut-down over the past few weeks. This has been a very difficult time for many in our community, but rest assured that your Village continues to work for you during the pandemic.

Our police officers continue to serve and protect the residents of the Village in a professional and compassionate manner while our service and administrative teams have not missed a beat in supporting our high standards.

After reviewing Gov. Dewine’s shut-down and reopening modifications issued Monday, April 27, 2020, I do not see changing our current modified operations here in Golf Manor at this time. The three department entities in our building (administration, police and fire district) will continue to be separated with requirements for temperature scanning for anyone coming into the building remaining in place. The main lobby remains exclusively dedicated to walk-in for anyone seeking services from the PD. The side door next to the Clerk’s Office, accessed from the south parking lot, will remain locked during business hours with visitors instructed to knock or call for assistance. This process has worked well to triage issues quickly and there is no need to change. Access to the LMFR firehouse building will remain from the exterior of that building.

The closure of Volunteer Park will also remain in effect until such time we hear additional measures from the Governor.

The best way to reach us is either by phone:

In addition, we have a major road construction project taking place on Stover Avenue that will continue as an essential service through the COVID-19 event. The contractor will manage their work crews using the orders issued by the Governor for social distancing. We do ask that you do not directly approach any of the workers at this time with any questions. If you have a questions or need assistance with something on that project, please contact us through the phone numbers or email above and we will be happy to help you or point you to the right source of information..

I want to thank and express my appreciation for everyone who has complied with the measures to keep our building safe, Mayor Densmore’s leadership to keep us connected to State and County information and services to keep our residents healthy and informed. We all pray that we soon can return to normal operations.

Mayor Densmore and I are committed to keeping Golf Manor a great Village!
